- 1 Egg
- 2 Cups Flour
- ½ Cup Butter (Melted)
- ¾ Cup Sugar
- ¼ Cup Brown sugar
- 2 Teaspoons baking soda
- ½ Teaspoon vanilla
- 1 Tablespoon cinnamon
- ½ Cup Molasses
- ½ Teaspoon salt
- ½ Teaspoon ground ginger
- ¼ Teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ Teaspoon ground cloves
- 8 Ounces cream cheese
- 3 Cups sugar (powdered)
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla
- ¼ Cup Butter (softened)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Take a baking pan, grease it and set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat cream butter & sugar then add brown sugar, vanilla and molasses and beat it until well blended.
- Add eggs to the mixture and stir until well mixed.
- Add baking soda, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, salt and mix until well combined. Now let the dough be evenly placed into the bottom of greased pan.
- Bake it at 350 degrees F for minimum 20 minutes and let it cool off completely.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream butter & cheese together.
- Add powdered sugar & vanilla beat it until smooth & creamy.
- Frost the tops of gingerbread cookie bars and cut it into squares for serving.
- We garnished it with little nutmeg.
